The Lakes Jam festival took over Brainerd International Raceway this past weekend featuring musical acts Ratt, Carly Pearce, Big & Rich, and Brothers Osborne.

Brothers TJ and John Osborne had to take to Twitter Sunday afternoon to clear up rumors surrounding their performance at the Brainerd event. Twitter user @Jedneck asked if the band refused to play if Trump flags weren't removed. A tweet from the official Brothers Osborne account set the record straight:

Brothers Osborne cleared the air by saying that no everything you hear is true. They emphasized that everyone is welcome at their shows, and as long as you are respectful and having fun it doesn't matter who you voted for.

Brothers Osborne did play at Lakes Jam, wrapping up a festival that had record attendance with over 35,000 people on the grounds over four days. The event started so strong that the usual small crowd of 500 Wednesday night grew to over 2,000 and events had to be moved to the main stage.

The Brainerd festival was also Carly Pearce's first show in 471 days, aka since the world shut down due to the pandemic:

Overall it sounds like a lot of fun was had at Brainerd International Raceway this past weekend for Lakes Jam. It feels good to have concerts and festivals back once again in our area. If you are planning to attend one soon, do as Brothers Osborne say, be respectful and have fun.
