It takes a special type of person to live in Minnesota and deal with our weather. It takes an even more special person to be a law enforcement officer here and keep us all safe during that winter weather.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook Friday asking people to avoid doing bad things during this upcoming winter storm:

For the next 2 days, Benton County is in a Winter Storm Warning. Please avoid committing crime in these conditions. It's cold, the roads are dangerous and there are better things to do. For example, drink hot cocoa & build a snowman! Doesn't that sounds nice? Perfect, so we're in agreement... no doing bad things for at least the next 2 days!

Seems simple enough. Don't commit crimes so deputies don't have to battle terrible road conditions. It makes sense in my world, now if only we can get everyone on board with this...

In Central Minnesota we are expecting 6 to 12 inches of snow Friday and Friday night, followed by winds gusting as high as 45 mph on Saturday with blizzard conditions possible. It's going to be nasty, so stay safe, and don't do bad things.
