HOW MUCH DO YOU PAY YOUR BABYSITTER?
Hiring a good sitter is not just a good idea; it's a necessity these days. How do parents relax on date night; go to work; or do anything if they don't feel confident that their children are being well cared for?
UrbanSitter recently did a study of 28,000 families across the U.S. and found that the national average babysitting rate is $16.75 for one child and $19.75 for two kids per hour.
HOW DO MINNESOTA RATES STACK UP AGAINST THE REST?
We actually pay lower than the national average here in Minnesota...considerably lower. If you're a babysitter here, we pay about $13.94 for one child, and $14.68 for two kids. The good news is; those rates are way better than when I was a kid. (and Musicians are still making what they made per hour in 1966).

I don't have little kids anymore; so I'm curious. What DO you pay a sitter these days in St. Cloud? Princeton? Little Falls? Are you right on that national average? Do you pay more? Do you pay less? Send your rates and the reason why to Kelly@minnesotasnewcountry.com.
