Am I The Only Minnesotan Who Doesn’t Like Milk?
Minnesota is a pretty big state for dairy products. Annually, the dairy cows in our state produce about 9.5 billion pounds of milk and there are almost 3,500 dairy farms in Minnesota. At our state fair you can drink all the milk you want for just a couple dollars. I even spend most of my time in Stearns County, the biggest dairy county in the state!
Yet I find milk disgusting. I will choke it down with cereal, and using it as an ingredient doesn't bother me, but drinking it plain? NEVER! I love other dairy products like cheese and yogurt but milk just isn't my thing. Even the smell of it can sometimes make me sick to my stomach.
I feel really un-Minnesotan for saying this, but I can't be the only one. How do you feel about plain milk? Let me know in the comments below!
