Albany’s Citywide Garage Sales Kick Off May 6
Friends, garage sale season is upon us. Honestly, I never stop garage sale-ing throughout the year thanks to Facebook marketplace. But, nothing beats the thrill of putting on your fanny pack for the first time of the year, throwing on your visor and hunting for those deals in person.
There's just something about holding cash in your hand and scoring a random item for pennies on the dollar that feel oh-so right!
The City of Albany will be holding their annual town garage sales starting Thursday, May 6. They'll go through Saturday, May 8.
Just think of how fun garage sales will be this year! I mean, we all sat home in 2020 and ordered a bunch of random things on the internet because we were bored. Now that life is finally getting back to normal some of us are having buyer's remorse. That sewing machine or veggie spiraler you bought might actually end up in your spring garage sale this year...and I'm here for it. I've got a feeling there are many good quality items that'll be available for cheap.
All I see are dollar signs, friend. So, you can bet I'll be out there with my little red wagon.
The garage sale maps will be available at the Albany Tesoro store, Don's I-94, and Holiday gas stations starting on Wednesday, May 5. There's also an online map you can check out on the Albany Chamber's website.
