The National Weather Service is predicting an arctic blast to hit Minnesota next week bringing 4-6 inches of snow in portions of central and southern Minnesota and west central Wisconsin.

Snow will begin Sunday afternoon and taper off by Monday afternoon. Several inches are likely along and south of I-94 making travel difficult. Blowing snow is also possible.

Central Minnesota can continue to expect periods of dangerous wind chills of 30 to 50 below from Tuesday to Thursday.
