Abandoned SeaQuest Animal Makes It’s Outdoor Debut At New Zoo
You might remember that the Roseville SeaQuest location suddenly closed in February, and with the closure, it meant hundreds of animals were essentially abandoned at the exhibit. Since then, the animals have been rescued and distributed across the US. One of those animals made their official outdoor debut this weekend, and it was caught on video!
The Lake Superior Zoo, located along the North Shore in Duluth, shared video (can't see the video below, head to this link) of this male Capybara who made his way outside, with a little food motivation recently.
Watching this animal, which by all accounts could have been indoors its whole life, finally got outside.
According to the Lake Superior Zoo, more than 1,400 animals were affected by the closure of the Roseville SeaQuest location. Over 200 of those, some 1,400 animals, came to the Lake Superior Zoo, which is such a big task to take on, and we are SO fortunate that the Lake Superior Zoo was able to take as many animals as they could.

Of course taking in so many new animals has a cost to it, and the zoo is hoping people like you and I contribute to help defer some of those costs. If you feel moved enough to donate a few dollars, you can do that, through this link.
According to KSTP-TV SeaQuest closed after filing "for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in December and petitioned the court to sell the company to an insider for $80,000 in late January."
As for SeaQuest, there are only 4 remaining locations left: one in Utah, Las Vegas, New Jersey, and California. You can see the remaining locations for SeaQuest, by visiting their website, here.
