Nine time out of ten she’s right and I am wrong, when I won’t give in, she just goes along.

Yes the door is always open and the light’s on in the hall.

She’s sun and rain, she’s fire and ice, a little crazy but it’s nice.

Bill Kenner and Mark Wright wrote Paradise Tonight. It was recorded by Charly McClain and Mickey Gilley as a duet.  The single went to #1 for a week and stayed on the country chart for a total of thirteen weeks.  In the news in 1983, Hurricane Alicia hits the Texas coast killing 22, the United States invades Grenada and a 5.2 magnitude earthquake hits central New York.

Honestly I can’t believe the magic you do, never seen anything as lovely as you.

Anne Murray – “Could I Have This Dance” - 1980
