Minnesota Timberwolves head coach and president Flip Saunders revealed today that he is undergoing treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system. Saunders' doctors say that it is a, “treatable and curable form of cancer,” and he plans to continue with his team duties.

The Timberwolves have come to an agreement to sign 6'11 forward Kevin Garnett to a 2-year contract. The 39-year old is expected to play approximately 20 minutes per game next season. Garnett is expected to sign the deal later this week.

The number crunchers at the Washington Post say that Minnesota's professional sports teams have performed worse as a group than any other American city's teams. Any guess which city came out on top?

The Wolves could not slow down "The Brow," Anthony Davis, who scored 24 points while adding 11 rebounds, five assists and six blocked shots. The Pelicans are now 44-37 and tied for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Andrew Wiggins led Minnesota with 29 points on 9-22 shooting, while fellow rookie Zach LaVine scored 18 points and was 6-12 from the floor.

The Timberwolves have just five games left in the season, beginning Wednesday night at Portland (9 PM, AM 1390).

Sure Minnesota Timberwolves' Zac Levine won the Slam-Dunk contest during the NBA All-Star Weekend, but this is the regular season baby -- and I vote for T-Wolves' Andrew Wiggins' dunk last night over Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert for the Dunk of the Year. BAM!

Zach LaVine had 21 points with six assists and five rebounds and Andrew Wiggins added 17 points for Minnesota in the loss. The Jazz were led by Gordon Hayward with 22 points.

The New Orleans Pelicans started strong and finished stronger in a 110-88 win over the Timberwolves in New Orleans Sunday. The Wolves fall to 16-57 with the loss.

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Timberwolves 101-99 in overtime Wednesday night at Target Center. The Wolves are now 16-55 on the season.

Zach LaVine led the Wolves with 27 points on 7-19 shooting, while Andrew Wiggins scored 22 points with seven rebounds. Minnesota returns home Wednesday night to host the Lakers at Target Center (7 PM, WJON).

Former Timberwolf Mo Williams paced the Hornets with 24 points off of the bench on 10-16 shooting. The Wolves are at Utah on Monday night (7:30, WJON).
