Kevin Love -- of all people -- is actively trying to #EndTheStigma

With an uncertain NBA future, the Minnesota Timberwolves' Kevin Love has withdrawn from Team USA ahead of Monday's start to training camp. It's believed that Love took himself off the roster to avoid injury -- something that would devastate any potential upcoming trade moves.

The Timberwolves downed Brooklyn 111-81 at Target Center Friday night. Minnesota led 30-14 after the first quarter and cruised to the win.

Timberwolves forward Kevin Love will see a hand specialist in New York after having his hand evaluated Monday.

The Timberwolves bounced back at Denver with a 101-97 Thursday night after losing at Utah Wednesday night. J.J. Barea scored 12 of his 17 points in the 4th quarter and Alexey Shved added 17 points for Minnesota. Luke Ridnour and Andrei Kirilenko each scored 14 points for Minnesota.

The Timberwolves lose 10-6-84 at Utah to the Jazz Wednesday night. Minnesota struggled shooting the ball again shooting just 34 percent from the field while Utah shot 49 percent.

The Minnesota Timberwolves made several off-season moves that has brought renewed optimism to a club that hasn't made the playoffs since 2004 when they made it to the Western Conference Finals.

Timberwolves forward Kevin Love will not require surgery after breaking two bones in his shooting hand Wednesday morning while doing knuckle pushups during a Wednesday morning workout. Love saw a specialist Thursday but will still be out 5-7 weeks. Love led the team in scoring averaging 26 points and rebounds with 13.3 a game in 2011-2012.

Timberwolves forward Kevin Love has been named as a Western Conference All Star reserve.  This marks the 2nd straight year Love has been named an All Star.

The Timberwolves have a deadline of 11pm (Central Time) tonight to sign Timberwolves forward Kevin Love to a contract extension to keep him from being a restricted free agent this summer.

Timberwolves forward Kevin Love was named one of 20 finalists for the 2012 U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team by USA Basketball.  The official 12-man U.S. Olympic team roster will be announced last this year.
