Timberwolves forward Kevin Love will not require surgery after breaking two bones in his shooting hand Wednesday morning while doing knuckle pushups during a Wednesday morning workout.  Love saw a specialist Thursday but will still be out 5-7 weeks.  Love led the team in scoring averaging 26 points and rebounds with 13.3 a game in 2011-2012.

Timberwolves head coach Rick Adelman said Thursday that Derrick Williams, Dante Cunningham and Lou Amundson will see time at the power forward position with Love out.  Adelman says the Wolves are still working on the best combinations on the floor together and roles for the upcoming season during preseason games.  Minnesota plays at preseason game at Chicago tonight at 7pm.  The Wolves open the regular season November 2 at home against Sacramento.
