We're barely three weeks into the regular season, and the Minnesota Twins bandwagon is emptying faster than [edited for content].

Taking shots at the Twins ownership is a favorite hobby of Minnesotans in general, but especially for Twins fans who want more than another division title followed by a polite first-round exit. They're really making it too easy this year.

"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP TWINSING SO HARD!" ~Matt Foley

Let's take a moment to reflect on the B.S. so far this season:

  • Twins ownership declared a big reduction in payroll this year after the team finally broke the first-round bounce curse last season
  • they let starting pitcher Sonny Gray walk, and he's been outstanding for the St Louis Cardinals so far this year
  • future star Royce Lewis was injured in the first game and likely won't return until summer
  • current stars Carlos Correa, Jhoan Duran, and Max Kepler are currently injured
  • the Twins paid cash to the NY Mets for reliever Michael Tonkin, then put him waivers where he was reclaimed by the NY Mets
  • the Twins bullpen was supposed to be elite, but have been straight trash so far
  • the Twins 'big' off-season free agent signing - Carlos Santana (not the guitar legend, although...) - has been straight trash at the plate
  • they just signed Tony Kemp, whose bat is straight trash
  • CHS Field in St Paul is a more attractive spot to get my baseball fix than Target Field, even with the Northstar Commuter Rail partially resuming Target Field service.

Will It Ever Get Better?
