Johnson's two grandfathers were his inspiration to join the military in high school. He had grown up listening to them tell stories about their experience in the service. Johnson's experience includes nearly 20 years in the Army National Guard's 134th BCT. This includes two deployments to Iraq--one in 2005 and another in 2007.

Johnson says he waited to have kids and get married until after he was done with his missions. He didn't want to cause any heartache to someone at home. One of his favorite memories from being in the military includes his trip to Hawaii.

Thank you for your service to our country, Jeremy! You are our hero.
