Maiden Dixie rocks Benton Station crowd after a long couple of days on the road.

The Minnesota seven-piece band took off Friday and headed to Fargo, ND to play a show... talking with the group before their show at Benton Station on Saturday night, they took off from Fargo after their show and headed back to the cities to try and catch a few hours of sleep, most of them getting home around 6:30 Saturday morning, that didn't leave a lot of time for them to get rested up before loading back up and getting to Benton Station.

Maiden Dixie is a hungry, young band, so the sleep the did get... along with some whiskey, beer, energy drinks and a crowd ready to party, was plenty to get them ready to perform again. The band was having just as much fun as the audience, jumping down on the dance floor to dance with the crowd, sing in the crowd and bringing a bride-to-be up on stage to help celebrate her bachelorette party. The seven-piece band brought Benton Station a packed crowd that didn't want to leave at the end of the night.

The band covered some of your favorite country hits and also rocked the crowd with Led Zeppelin, A-C D-C and some originals from their debut album "Little Black Dress", including "The Waiting is Done", which Brittany and I are using for part of our wedding. Maiden Dixie even sang a NEW, original song called "A Story of Our Own". New album in the works?

It was a great weekend of FREE country music right in our backyard at Benton Station, with Maiden Dixie. Look for Maiden Dixie back in Central Minnesota here.
