Thank You For Listening to me Babble For The Last Year
It’s been a little over a year since I started doing afternoons on 98-Country and today marks my last day… and I’ve had some fun with you!
I’ll be staying with Townsquare Media, but starting Monday (3/17/14) I’ll be taking over afternoons on our sister station, MIX 94.9. It’s going to be change, but what’s life without a challenge? I look forward to starting the new show on Monday, but every once in a while, you might just hear me back on SAINT CLOUD’S BEST COUNTRY, 98-Country.
Here are a few of the highlights from my year spent with you on 98 Country…
Getting to meet my favorite country artist, Dierks Bentley at Winstock 2013.
Going to Kenny Chesney‘s “No Shoes Nation Tour” at Target Field.
Getting to know and talk in studio with Maiden Dixie a few times over the course of the year and getting to a number of their shows. (KEEP WATCHING FOR THEM!!!!!)
But the greatest part of being part of 98-Country for this past year was YOU. I’ve enjoyed your phone calls, emails, Facebook comments and all the information you’ve passed on to me regarding my upcoming wedding, Brittany and I having a baby, buying a house… you gave me suggestions and advice that I have used throughout the entire process.
Some of my favorite moments with YOU are…
You building me a burger for “National Cheeseburger Day”… it was delicious and I have ordered a handful of times.
Having listeners come in studio to play their favorite country music and give stuff away.
And of course fun out on the road with listeners…
Meeting long time listeners and new listeners…
These are only some of best memories made with you during my year with 98-Country. Thanks again for listening and all the advice. Monday, you’ll have a brand new voice in the afternoon on 98-Country, but don’t count me completely out… you will probably hear me every once in a while on 98-Country.
Thanks again! Time for a cold beer!
