The Double Standard of a "Hot" Fargo Cop on the Internet

There's a double-standard in this world that doesn't (and for the most part, shouldn't) get much attention: women gushing over hot men. When men do the same to women, we're pigs. When women do it to men, it's acceptable.

The only acceptable recourse for men is to lampoon ourselves, and we've done that in spades. But first, we travel to Fargo on St Patrick's Day for today's episode of Choad Rage.

The Internet is the Dive Bar of Society

Like many communities, Fargo celebrated St Patrick's Day with a parade. The Fargo Police Department and Red River Valley SWAT Team joined the festivities.

The focus has been on one officer in particular, with comments like:

"I’d let him put hand cuffs on me.. I’ll be as aggressive as he wishes… hehe got the record to prove it"

"I feel like I should commit some felonies"

"damn pull me over"

"It was me, I'm guilty. Arrest me and please feel free to pat me allll the way down."

"Dr. McDreamy's got nothing on Officer Mcyowzer!"

"All the single ladies with warrants coming forward"

They were directed at this fella:

POLICE PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE EVERY DAY. THEY'RE NOT GARDEN HOSES FOR YOUR THIRST TRAP FANTASIES.

Now that I've got that out of the way, the comment section for this photo is thirst gold. Is there a double-standard? Of course there is. Men doing this to women is seen as creepy and gross...mostly because it is.

But men have struck back in the goodest way: by loudly and proudly being the dumb idiots that we are. I have one word for you: BORTHER.

Read the comments, and you'll find a plethora of comments from men horribly misspelling every all-caps word of terrible attempts at "flirting". Deb or Barb are usually mentioned.

It's glorious. It was so glorious that Lauren Kreidler - the meteorologist who posted the picture - made a TikTok video about the attention.
