The late season free-fall continued for the Minnesota Twins (59-77) in Baltimore this afternoon, falling to the Orioles (79-56) 12-8. After spotting the O's a 9-2 lead, the Twins showed a glimmer of hope, scoring three in the 7th and three more in the 9th before it ended. It was the 7-run Oriole 6th that did the Twins in.

Twins starter Ricky Nolasco (5-10) was the losing pitcher, giving up 8 runs in 5 innings, and lifting his ERA to 5.96.

Minnesota will try to avoid the 4-game sweep at Camden Yards tomorrow afternoon at 12:35 CT. (Radio: 1240 WJON, TV: Fox Sports North)
