I've been to a lot of cool weddings over the last few years and the couples have gotten really creative with their themes and the overall feel of the wedding.

Western Theme

One of my cousins got married and her wedding was Western themed.  The girls all wore cowboy boots and super cute western-type dresses.  They had a cart with horses pulling it, which just made it seem so much more authentic.  The reception was outside under a huge tent.  It couldn't have been any more perfect.

I have to congratulate my other cousin and his wife for getting really creative with their wedding theme.  Nothing like feeling as though you're at a circus.  She wore a gorgeous older looking dress and they had all kinds of circus props.  You could have candy on a stick.  They had a big projector screen with old black and white films playing.  It was definitely one of the coolest weddings I've ever been to.

Elegant With Bagpipes

My mom has a cousin who got married this past summer in St. Paul.  Their wedding was very elegant -- lots of black, white, silver, glass and candles.  It was just beautiful.  What really stood out was the music.  Yes, they played the traditional wedding march but you haven't really heard it until you've head bagpipes play it. I've never heard anything quite like it, truly amazing.
