Would You Trust a Hotel To Be Your ‘Instagram Sitter’? [SOTA]
When you go on vacation, how "vacation" do you go? Log out of your work email account? Maybe just shut your phone off (save for the camera)?
Or are you so social media-obsessed that you HAVE to maintain your Instagram account, even if it means doing so while on vacation (and you don't get paid to make product placement posts)?
If you vacation in Switzerland, there's a hotel chain that will post to your social media on your behalf.
The 'service' is called "Relax We Post," and it promises to keep your Instagram up-to-date on what you're doing, without you having to do any of the updating.
If that's not enough for you, the hotel chain (Ibis) can recruit Instagram 'stars' to make your deets total fire...or something. I'm a dad, so I'm just here to ruin slang, not reinforce it.
Not only will the 'sitters' post to your Instagram, they'll even reply to comments...all on your behalf.
Fortunately, you don't have to give the hotel your phone. Unfortunately, you have to share your log-in information with them. Makes sense, but jeez.
And you know this wouldn't be A Thing if there wasn't a market for it.
A hotel that will be you on your Instagram so you don't have to, today's Sign of the Apocalypse.
Would you ever allow someone to post to your social media on your behalf?
Comment below and let me know!
