Winter Weather Advisory in Effect Today

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for portions of Central Minnesota in effect until 7:00 this evening. A wintry mix of rain, freezing, rain, and snow is expected -- especially in areas north and west of St. Cloud.

From the National Weather Service this morning: A wintry mix of snow and light freezing rain will become primarily rain this afternoon. Snow accumulations up to a few inches are possible in the northwest, while ice accumulations are also possible in west central and southwestern Minnesota. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued where snow and ice accumulations may create difficult travel conditions.
