Starting November 1st, all cities in the St. Cloud Metro have put their Winter Parking Rules into effect.

St. Cloud in particular, has an extensive list of dos and don'ts when it comes to various parts of the city. The majority of the city is covered under odd-even restrictions;

Between 1am and 7am on odd-numbered days, you must park on the even side of the street. On even-numbered days, you must park on the odd side of the street.

The easiest way to reconcile this strange confusing-sounding concept is to park your car before midnight on the odd side of your street on odd-numbered days and park on the even side of your street on the even days. That way when 1am comes you're parked correctly. Sides of the street are determined by whether your house number is odd or even.

Again, this is for the majority of the city's residential areas. Certain parts of town, and some residential areas have different or even additional restrictions. Signs regulate parking in the St. Cloud State University area and outlying parts of St. Cloud have no overnight parking on city streets.

During a snow emergency, illegally parked cars will be towed without warning.
