The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory in effect from midnight tonight through 9 AM Saturday morning -- for portions of central Minnesota including Morrison and Stearns counties.

Wind chills could drop as low as -25 to -35, which could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.

From the National Weather Service this afternoon: Temperatures will drop below zero across much of Minnesota with -15 to -20F across western Minnesota. It will be warmer in Wisconsin with lows in the single digits above zero. The coldest wind chills will be over northern and western Minnesota where a Wind Chill Advisory is in effect.
