I don't know if I would call them habits...but there are a lot of things we CAN do at home if we need to save money if necessary. Post quarantine doesn't mean that everyone will get to go back to work; and if you CAN'T, and money is tight, what things are you going to continue to do at home, that maybe don't seem quite as bad as it used to?

HOME HAIR COLORING

I prefer to have my hair done by a professional; but a lot of my girlfriends that have hit the 'grey' hair mark, are realizing that..hey...going gray might not be a bad idea...especially if you're having to color your hair twice a month. Since we've all been having to live with who we really are for months...maybe...it's not so bad?

Others are just trying new ways to have fun with their hair at home, and are experimenting with home color kits. Either way....it's not exactly what you get when you go to a salon...that's for sure...you might end up with pink hair when you wanted brown; things you don't have to worry about when you go to a professional; but some of you might just decide that this is something you think you can do from now on. We'll see how long it lasts.

MANI'S AND PEDI'S

This is one thing that I really suck at. I don't have my nails done a lot, but I can tell you that my last pedicure lasted me almost 3 months with gel polish, and once I replaced it with my own, it looked absolutely horrendous. If you've got steady hands...go ahead. But I feel that for what I paid to have my pedi, and how long it lasted, I'm still going back to the salon. Fingernails might have to wait but for me...I don't have the steady hand that the manicurists have...and you can definitely tell. If YOU can pull it off, you'll be saving some bucks.

HAIR CUTS?

I know a few people that cut their husbands and children's hair. But I don't know anyone in their right mind that cuts their own on a regular basis. And if you aren't a hairdresser, this is something you might be thinking about giving up...that you probably really shouldn't!  I tried to help my son shave the back of his neck with a razor....Uhmmm...That probably wasn't a good idea. What's a straight line anyway?
