There's a video going around social media sites posted by College Humor about what it would be like if people left parties the way they leave Facebook.
I know from personal experience that whenever a friend posts about leaving Facebook it's usually for attention because they end up posting to that site again a few weeks later.
The "Facebook leaver" always posts some story about why they are leaving. College Humor makes a hilarious point--the "Facebook leaver" never goes out quietly.
I think it's safe to say that even though this video is over-the-top, I don't think it's too far off from what it would actually be like.
