Twin Cities Pride updated their Facebook page with an announcement that this year's LGBTQ pride event will be postponed. The Pride Festival and the Pride Parade which was originally scheduled for June has been put on hold.

According to the Facebook announcement, "the health and safety of all who celebrate Twin Cities Pride remains our first priority."

The event draws over 400 vendors and small business partners each year as well as tens of thousands of people from around the world. The event organizers haven't announced a makeup date, but assured that they are exploring alternative options.
