Sky-watchers are in for a treat tonight, when a total lunar eclipse will be visible (weather permitting) across all of Minnesota.

The eclipse will begin at 8:36 pm, lasting for 5 hours and 12 minutes, before ending at 1:48 am Monday morning. The 'total' phase of the eclipse will last from 10:41 pm to 11:43 pm.

Tonight's total lunar eclipse will be the last visible in the United States until 2022.

The weather forecast for tonight across central Minnesota is for mostly cloudy skies -- so as of now, it looks like Mother Nature might block this whole thing out.
