Hollywood living legend Tom Hanks just proved, once again, that he may be the nicest movie star ever when he personally refunded fans who disliked his latest film, ‘Larry Crowne.’

While at a gas station filling up his car — yeah, he does that too — the two-time Oscar winner was approached by a couple who told him they’d just seen ‘Crowne.’

The star asked their opinion of it, and when they said it “wasn’t that good” and they expected more from him, Hanks apologized — and then reached into his pocket and refunded the $25 they’d spent on tickets.

Awesome as that was, he might not want to make a habit of it. Since ‘Larry Crowne’ was a critical and box-office dud, Hanks may have to start carrying around a lot more cash.
