The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is asking for an annual vehicle State Park Permit price increase from $35 to $45, and a daily permit increase from $7 to $10 to help offset a budget deficit.

The fee increases are included in the budget proposed by Governor Tim Walz.

Annual permit prices increased from $25 to $35 back in 2018.

A Minnesota State Parks pass is a year-round permit that provides unlimited access to all 75 Minnesota state parks and recreation areas for a full year from the month of purchase.
