THE POWER OF TIME

It's hard to ignore the effect that small-town Drive-In have on local communities. The affordable food options, the young staffers just getting started in life; and always the dedicated owners who work so hard to provide delicious food, that families make memories from, and refer back to for years and years.

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS

There's nothing like coming back to your hometown after you've gone off to college or perhaps moved away to another state. When you come home and your favorite shake and fries are still being served, reminding you of your childhood, and the great memories you've created on your stops to your local Drive-In.

Thus, today we are saying congratulations to Sue's Drive-In in Pierz, Minnesota.

60 YEARS OF DELICIOUSNESS

Sue's Drive-In is celebrating 60 years of business this year. Current owner Roger Schulte took over Sue's Drive-In from his Sister Sue Sand, about 6 years ago. Sue has owned the Drive-In since 1985.

According to an article Roger said, "I had wanted to do something similar to this approximately 10 years earlier. It just didn't work out, and then this became available when Sand was ready to retire, so I wanted to do it."

He also said that Sue had a good reputation, and since it was his sister's place, he didn't want to change the name of it when he took over.

THE MENU CONTINUES

Sue's Drive-In menu hasn't changed much but because they have some younger folks working in the restaurant, they did take some of their advice and added the very trendy coffee chillers recently.

Roger credits the success of the Drive-In to the local partners they have working with Thielen Meats and the Little Falls Bakery.

We wish Sue's Drive-In a very Happy 60th Anniversary of being in business and hope that they keep delivering us the tasty flavors of our youth.
