Think You Make the Best Chili? Prove It at Grey Face’s Annual Cook-Off

GREY FACE RESCUE'S ANNUAL CHILI COOK-OFF IS COMING UP!

It's that time of year again! The 8th Anuual Chili Cook Off for Grey Face Rescue is going to be hel on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 from noon until 3 pm at Back Shed Brewing in Waite Park.

This is such a fun event. Whether you want to be a participant in the chili contest, or you just want to spend an afternoon enjoying great chili from area chili masters, along with some delicious beverages from Back Shed, this is the event you don't want to miss.

LOCATION

If you want to attend, clear your calendar now. The event is an all-you-can-eat event of chili samples for just $8 in advance or $10 at the door.

Back Shed Brewing is located at 624 Sundial Drive in Waite Park.

ENTER YOUR CHILI

If you'd like to show all of central Minnesota that you make the best chili, enter for just $5. You'll also receive a Free t-shirt with your entry.

You are asked to make 7 to 10 quarts of chili for the event. Last year, there were approximately 100 individuals that were taste testing. It was a huge success.

Participants are asked to arrive for set up at 11:30am. Set up will be until noon, so you've got 30 minutes to get your chili and any sides that you want to provide all ready for your guests. Make sure you bring your chili in a crockpot, and bring servings spoons, sides if you want, like crackers, cheese, onions, sour cream...you get the idea.

We'll be taking everything down at 2:30 pm and the winners will be announced at 3 pm SHARP.

This year, Grey Face is expanding the competition with more categories, which means more winners! Yay!
