If you and your dog both are in need of a social outing, this is the place for you.

I just stumbled upon this business when I was on a following spree of different animal rescues in the state. Unleashed Hounds and Hops hosts adoption events, and I was immediately intrigued by the idea of taking my dog out for dinner and a drink.

Unleashed Hounds & Hops in Minneapolis is the ultimate playdate for you and your best friend:

We are committed to bringing responsible dog owners together in a safe and friendly environment.  We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel a sense of community; where our most important clients, and their owners, can socialize and make new friends.  We live by the motto “Nothing brings people together better than good food, cold beer and your best friend.”

They claim to be Minnesota's first bar that has totally gone to the dogs. Half of their building is an indoor doggy play area, and the other part is a bar where they serve food and drinks.

There is a fee for bringing your dog with you, $6.99 for a daily pass, but they have other membership options depending on how often you and your four-legged bestie want to frequent the establishment. There's no entry fee for humans.

Their menu is just as diverse as the dog breeds in the play area, serving everything from fancy hot dogs, to fancy corndogs, to sandwiches and salads. They even do brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

I know I'm rounding up all my dog parent friends and we are going to set up a date to go here. What a fun idea, I think they need to open a second location in St. Cloud.
