Snowplows are a winter staple here in Minnesota, but passing them isn’t as straightforward as it seems. Let’s talk safety on those snowy highways.

Winter caught us off guard this year—just when we thought we were in the clear, snow showed up right before Thanksgiving.

The results are in from the second annual Name a Snowplow contest.

Last year, District 3 (the St. Cloud area) had a plow named Darth Blader. This year, the Bismarck area also has a snow plow named Darth Blader.

Minnesotans are once again asked to get creative as MnDOT kicks off it's second annual "Name a Snowplow" contest.

I've already entered one of the winning names, but in the story, I give you A TON of possible names. Any one of them should win on its own.
