Night of the Stars

The LEAF 742 Distinguished Alumni Award is a new award and the first winner is Mark Bragelman, the President of Liberty Savings Bank in St. Cloud. LEAF board member Bruce Hentges and Mark joined me on WJON today.

LEAF's Night of the Stars is back after a 2-year absence this Friday and Saturday at Tech High School with shows at 7 p.m. each night. Directors Denny Smith and Victoria Hedtke, emcee Gary Zwack and longtime performer Winston Johnson joined me on WJON to talk about the shows.

Some of the best student talent in District 742 will be on display this weekend in downtown St. Cloud.

The bright lights of the Paramount Theater were dim in comparison to the stars on stage at LEAF's 16th annual Night of the Stars.

We have your ticket to some of the fun things you and your family can enjoy around Central Minnesota this weekend. You can enjoy Shrek the Musical Jr. at Sartell High School, check out some local talent at the Night of the Stars showcase, Justin Ploof and the Throwbacks will perform at Pioneer Place, the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble bringing their music at the College of St. Benedict's and the Sartell Red Carpet. Local young talent will be taking center stage in St. Cloud this weekend for the 16th Annual Night of the Stars showcase.

This weekend offers a lot of musical entertainment, as country star Terri Clark performs at Rollie's, the Minnesota Center Chorale celebrates the Land of 10,000 Lakes at the Paramount, LEAF presents their annual Night of the Stars, an award-winning musical hits the stage at the Panatages, and The Gin Game wraps up at Pioneer Place. Showcasing a large variety of young talent, the 15th annual Night of the Stars show is coming to downtown St. Cloud next week. There will be two shows, one on Friday the 19th and Saturday night the 20th (7:00 p.m.) at the Paramount Theatre.
