With the forecast models coming together on how this winter storm will likely play out, the National Weather Service is calling for a big fat 18" of snow for the Rochester area, with a dusting for St. Cloud. Happy shoveling to the Med City from the Granite City!

If you think it's been especially grey and cloudy lately you're right. According to the U of M its been the ugliest January 20th through 25th since 1963 (when they started looking at stuff like that).

It should be a dry start to the Thanksgiving day tomorrow, but a wintry mix of precipitation is possible during the afternoon -- with a good chance of snow tomorrow evening & tomorrow night. Snow on Sunday is not our of the question either.

While there's wide variation in precipitation forecast models for Wednesday and Wednesday night in Minnesota, the GFS (Global Forecast System) is calling for a big fat 20" of snow for the Rochester area, with a dusting for St. Cloud. Happy Spring to the Med City from the Granite City!
