The Timberwolves won 93-72 at Washington Sunday afternoon.  Kevin Love led the Wolves with 20 points and 16 rebounds and Ricky Rubio added 13 points and 14 assists.

The Gopher men’s basketball team has lost 4 games in a row after fallling 79-66 at home against Purdue Sunday.  Rodney Williams led the Gophers with 19 points and 14 rebounds, Joe Coleman added 14 points and Chip Armelin chipped in 12 points.

The Timberwolves lost 90-86 at home to Memphis Wednesday night to snap their 2-game winning streak.  The Wolves fell behind 15-0 before making a comeback.

The Timberwolves won their 2nd straight game 106-96 at home against San Antonio Monday night.  Kevin Love led the Wolves with 24 points and 15 rebounds and both Michael Beasley and Luke Ridnour added 19 points apiece.

The St. Cloud State men’s basketball team upset #22 Augustana 86-61 at home Monday night after the SCSU women lost 77-60 to Augustana at Halenbeck Hall.

The Gopher men’s basketball team lost their 2nd game in a row 61-56 at #16 Michigan Sunday afternoon.  Minnesota trailed 23-19 at halftime and shot just 42 percent from the field.

A near capacity crowd came out to see 5-star recruit and sophomore point guard Tyus Jones of Apple Valley at the Granite City Classic at Apollo High School Wednesday night.  Jones electrified the crowd at times as Apple Valley beat Buffalo.  Rocori before a huge crowd beat Orono 65-53.

The Timberwolves lost 98-95 at Milwaukee Tuesday night to fall to 0-2 on the season.  Minnesota trailed by more than 20 points but Kevin Love’s missed 3-point shot at the buzzer would have forced overtime.

The Timberwolves made the game interesting but lost 104-100 at home to Oklahoma City Monday night in their regular season opener.

The Timberwolves signed their first and 2nd round picks yesterday to multi-year contracts.  Derrick Williams was the 2nd overall pick in the first round in June.

The Timberwolves have agreed to sign free agent point guard J.J. Barea to a 4-year contract with reportedly $19 Million.

The Boston Celtic faithful were none too pleased when the team traded for forward Jeff Green earlier this season. This wasn't so much of a reflection on Green; he's a perfectly adequate NBA role player. Instead, Celtic nation was bummed that the price for acquiring Green included popular center Kendrick Perkins.
