LIFT THE LADIES EVENT

I'm amazed at some of the fantastic business owners in our community, recognizing the needs of so many people in central Minnesota. One of those businesses that has been helping an important cause for 6 years is Jule's Bistro. The 'Lift Up The Ladies' 7th Annual event at Jule's Bistro is an event that takes place every March, where people in the community have brought in bras in all different shapes and sizes, which were then given to the women being helped through Anna Marie's Alliance. In exchange for bringing in those items, Jules and their partners serve up delicious beverages and food free of charge each Monday evening in March.

THIS YEAR- WE NEED COMFY PAJAMAS/LOUNGERS AND SLIPPERS

The past few years, the event has been so successful that Anna Marie's is in a pretty good place with bras right now. So this year, Jule's Bistro and its partners are changing it up a bit to provide for another need. This year, they are looking for you to bring comfortable pajamas and indoor/outdoor slippers.

THE STRUGGLE FOR SURVIVAL

Can you imagine having to struggle for your life, try to find a new start, and not having even one pair of comfortable pajamas to go to sleep in? Jule's Bistro is working on changing that this year.

This is the message from the owner of Jules Bistro in Downtown St. Cloud:

It's the perfect time to gather our community together in support of women, especially those in need. Over the past 6 years, you've offered hope, encouragement, and comfort by helping us build an amazing collection of new bras in every style and size for the women served by Anna Marie's Alliance. So this year, we're directing our efforts toward a different — but equally important — need.

Throughout March, Jules' Bistro, with support from other Central Minnesota businesses, will be campaigning for brand new Pajama sets/Loungers. (Bonus points if you bring indoor/outdoor slippers, too!) So often when women arrive at the shelter, they have very few belongings. Your donation will ensure they have something comfy to slide into after they shower and start to settle into their new surroundings.

You'll raise your glass and enjoy meaningful conversation with other men and women who wish to encourage, inspire and lift up the ladies in our community. As you enjoy charcuterie, cheese and a plethora of delightfully different bites, Maverick Beverage Company will serve up unique white and red wine selections from Klinker Brick Winery in Lodi, California.

We bet you're wondering about the cost. Thanks to our generous partners, your food and drinks at this social hour are FREE WITH YOUR DONATION OF AT LEAST ONE {NEW} PAJAMA or LOUNGEWEAR SET. Don’t agonize over size and style. Women come in all shapes and sizes and with all sorts of preferences around a clothing item that has the power to make them feel safe, supported, protected, empowered, and even beautiful.
