On Sunday, October 11th,  join me for the Sunday Morning Country Classic Spotlight featuring David Ball.

David Ball finally found commercial success in the mid 1990's with his 1994 album Thinkin' Problem.  This is after years on the fringes of Austin's and Nashville progressive music scene.

Thinkin' Problem was written by David Ball, Allen Shamblin and Stuart Ziff.  The song reached number two on the Hot Country Singles Chart.  It's a moderate up-tempo song with electric guitar, steel guitar and fiddle that was released in March of 1994.

David  was nominated for Best Male Vocalist Grammy in 1995.   He went onto have other Top Ten hits like When the Thought of You Catches up with Me and Riding with Private Malone.

David Ball was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina on July 9, 1953.  He is the son of a Baptist Minister and a musician.  He continues to tour and appeared at Rollie's Rednecks and Longnecks off of Highway 23 in Sauk Rapids.

Yes, I admit I've got a thinkin' problem, she's always on my mind, her memory goes round and round.
