Her mother was a song writing great, Liz Anderson.  Liz recently passed away on October 31, 2011 at age 81.  Liz Anderson spent her early childhood in Pine Creek, Minnesota near the Canadian border.  When she was 13, the family moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota where she met Casey Anderson.  She was 16 when the couple married.   Lynn was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on September 26, 1947 and was raised in California.

Lynn debuted as a singer in 1966 at age 19.

She's known for a string of hits throughout the 1970's and early 1980's.  Most notably her Grammy award-winning world wide hit "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden," followed by "You're My Man," "How Can I Unlove You," "Top of the World" and many more.  She also performed as a regular on the "Lawrence Welk Show."

Lynn was married twice, she currently lives in Taos, New Mexico with her long time partner Mentor Williams, whose brother is singer, songwriter and actor Paul Williams.
