With the early cold weather this year - something that we haven't had for about 10-12 years, looks like ice fishing will have a banner year!  The ice will be safer than it has been other years - in theory.  No ice is 100% safe.  But in the last few years I think we have heard about and seen many more people falling through the ice than usual.  Always check the thickness before walking on - or especially driving on.

With this in mind, this year should be a great year for those things that you would like to do on a frozen lake or pond.
