Recently St. Cloud, Minnesota was featured on AreaVibes as having one of the highest crime rates per capita in Minnesota. It was ranked at #11 on the list behind Waite Park.

Now, there's another new report out by the Stearns County District Court that says crimes rates in the area are on the rise. According to WJON, Stearns County District Court criminal filings are on an upward trend.

From 2015 to 2016 there were 76 more adult felony charges in the county and 89 more gross misdemeanors compared to last year.

Child protection cases are also on the rise too, according to the report. There was a total of 223 incidents reported last year. The grand total of crimes committed last year was 446.
