Splash Pad Season: Let the Fun Flow!

It looks like it is going to be a nice, warm weekend for families to get outside and enjoy the weather. When I was a kid, I couldn't wait for it to be warm enough for my Dad to hook up the sprinkler in the front yard, so we could run, jump, slide, and giggle our way through some summertime water fun.

I would have LOVED to have a splash pad when I was a kid, and thankfully, we are surrounded with parks in central Minnesota that provide free fun for kids all summer long.

Here is a list of all the splash pad locations I could find and when they are opening. Let me know if I've missed any.

WADING POOLS & SPLASH PADS IN ST CLOUD

St. Cloud splash pad locations opened on May 9th, and there are some new splash pads that are currently under construction and will open soon, including Centennial, Haws (Southside), and Reach-Up/10-10 Park. There will be grand opening celebrations when these locations open.

As it stands, the following splash pad locations are open 9 am to 7 pm:

Lake George/Eastman Park
1101 7th Street South
St Cloud MN

Riverside Park
1725 Killian Blvd
St Cloud MN

Westwood Park
720 Driftwood Drive
St Cloud MN

NOTE: The Lake George Splash Pad will close at 5 pm on Wednesdays when 'Summertime By George' is taking place. The Westwood Park Splash Pad opens at 3 pm when school is in session.

ST CLOUD WADING POOLS

The wading pools will be opening June 13th, and will be open from 1 pm to 7 pm Tuesdays through Sundays through August. The wading pools that will be open on June 13th include the following:

Rotary Park
1507 Goettens Way

Seberger Park
2001 2nd Street North ($2.25 fee to use)
