ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- A Pride event will be held in St. Cloud this Sunday afternoon.

St. Cloud Pride is hosting its first-ever Summer Fun Fest from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Great River Regional Parking Lot.

Spokeswoman Jessi Robin says they've been getting requests from the community to host more events throughout the year, besides their week-long Pride festival in September.

This year, starting with our June event through our September event, we'll be doing a survey where folks in the community can give some feedback anonymously so we can better address that and hopefully have more events in the future.

She says attendees can expect activities, a marketplace, and food.

We have a variety of food trucks that will be there.  It will be a little bit different than our September event in that the organizations that are coming are all hosting a game or activity for folks to do.  So, every one of the booths has all sorts of things for adults and kids to do.

Sunday's event includes about 15 activities, a marketplace with about 10 vendors, and six food trucks.

Robin says, as they ramp up more events, they are looking for more people to join them as volunteers.
