Severe Thunderstorm Watch

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for parts of central Minnesota, including Benton, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Sherburne, and Stearns counties.

Damaging wind gusts, large hail, and frequent lightning will be the main threats.

From the National Weather Service this afternoon: The strongest storms are expected from mid-afternoon through the evening. Severe thunderstorms are possible, with large hail and damaging wind gusts being the primary hazards, along with heavy rainfall and frequent lightning.
