There is a high demand for hard seltzers, and that is the reason why a national tour celebrating the fizzy booze is making its way around America. The event dubbed 'Seltzerland' is making it’s way to Minneapolis.

It is one of the four cities this festival picked. The celebration of hard seltzer planned will be held at Quincy Hall in Northeast Saturday, April 18th.

While the hard seltzer market is dominated by White Claw, there are now hundreds of brewers and distillers that have launched their own products. Even some here in Central Minnesota.

There will be more than 100 varieties of seltzer to sample, with the event running in two sessions, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A $29 ticket gets you unlimited seltzer samplings. Which means staying hydrated and having a sober ride home will be important things to consider. You could go the VIP route which is always a good option for $49 a ticket that gives you early access, entry to a VIP lounge, a "surprise cocktail," sweet and savory treats and a full 12-oz seltzer can.

"Hard seltzers sales have 'spiked' over the past year, and they’re not slowing down,” said Kate Levenstien, CEO of Cannonball Production, which is producing the event.

I think this event seems like a really fun time. I do love the hard seltzers. Not only are they refreshing but they also make me feel less bloated than beer does. I can’t wait to try out all the different varieties at this festival. Time to call up my girlfriends and let them know the news. I think they will be equally excited as me.
