SCSU Huskies Men’s Hockey Ready to Start Postseason Run

The 2017-18 Saint Cloud State Men's Hockey team leaps into the postseason tonight as the top-ranked Division I team in the country -- starting with an NCHC quarterfinal matchup against Miami University (Ohio) at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.

The Huskies are seeded #1 in the conference tourney, hosting 8th seed Miami in a best-of-three series; with the winner advancing to next weekend's NCHC Frozen Faceoff at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

The winners of this weekend's four quarterfinal series (WMU @ UMD, Omaha @ UND, CC @ DU) will clash next Friday and Saturday at the Xcel Energy Center in the NCHC Frozen Faceoff with the hope of claiming the conference post season championship.

Three weeks ago the Huskies collected the Penrose Cup; awarded to the NCHC regular season champion.

This weekend's games can be heard in the St. Cloud area on KZRV 96.7 FM, with the pregame show beginning ½ hour before game time.
