Sartell is known for being a safe town in the heart of central Minnesota. With so much bad news in the world, it's endearing and entertaining to see some of the police calls that the Sartell Police Department has to respond to.

The department updates their blotter weekly on their Facebook page. It's safe to say, reading their blotter is my not so secret addiction. Some of my favorites from this week include; Officers closing open doors, police helping find lug nuts, authorities helping a man rid his vehicle of mice and police checking on someone's movie night.

1:30 pm. Morningstar Court. Dog Complaint. A complaint was made regarding a barking dog outside a residence. An officer was able to leave a message with the owner regarding the complaint."

3:53 pm. 10th Street South. Suspicious Activity. A report was made regarding a service door open on a vacant residence. An officer arrived and secured the residence and found that the home was recently sold. No further action was taken."
· 11:21 pm. Riverside Ave South. Motorist Assist. While on patrol, an officer located a vehicle on the side of the roadway. The driver stated that the tire fell off. The officer was able to help locate the lug nuts and put the tire back on."

1:03 am. 23rd Ave North. Noise. A complaint was made regarding the amount of noise coming from a residence. The officer found that the resident was watching a movie and passed along the complaint."
