Princeton Sets New Minnesota Gray Duck Record
I have a lot of hometown pride. I grew up in Princeton and made lots of friends in that small town. It's not such a small town anymore, but they still carry their Princeton Pride, and they still like to get together to make amazing things happen.

That's why I had no doubt they were going to set the Minnesota record and take on the world for a good ole' game of Duck, Duck, Gray Duck.
The previous record for Duck, Duck, Gray Duck was held by Shakopee with just under 200 people playing the game. The city of Princeton had kids to grandparents joining in the fun last weekend, and a total of 431 people came out to break the Minnesota Record for Duck, Duck, Gray Duck!
The event took place on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 and they were hoping to get 2200 people to break the world record for Duck, Duck, Goose AND Duck, Duck, Gray Duck.
The event was held at the Princeton High School track, and people looked like they were having a blast.
Young and old made circles of people and played the game, running as fast as they could to get away from being the Gray Duck.
There's nothing like watching adults relive their childhood, even if only for a few minutes.
While some people were enjoying the game, others were simply driving by the city of Princeton, and happened to see a giant duck from the highway. My friend Dave and his kids happened to be in the area, and decided to drive in to Princeton and see what all the excitement was about.
Now the question is, will Princeton try to come back and beat their own record for Duck, Duck, Gray Duck next year? I guess we will have to wait and see.
