RECALL! Did You Buy This Product from Trader Joes?
Trader Joe’s is a popular Grocery Store in Minnesota. To be honest, this nationwide chain is popular pretty much everywhere they have stores.
The chain has ten stores in our state, mostly in the metropolitan areas. One of the reasons the chain is so popular is that they take all their unsold inventory that is still good for people to use and donate those items to charity organizations.
My wife just visited Trader Joe’s for the first time and wants to go back. And if we lived a little closer, we would probably visit frequently.
If you are even an occasional shopper at Trader Joes, you need to be aware of a non-food item recall that was issued late last week concerning Trader Joes.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that a mango tangerine scented candle has been recalled because the flame can spread from the wick to the wax which causes a bigger than expected flame, which the CPSC says is a fire risk.
There were over 653,000 of these candles sold nationwide, so this is a pretty widespread recall. The SKU number for this candle is 56879 and can be found on the bottom of the tin container. The candles weight is said to be 5.7 ounces.
If you own one of these candles, you should stop using it immediately and take the candle back to Trader Joes for a full refund. You could also click the Consumer Product Safety Commission link to get a Trader Joes gift card sent to you for the candle's amount.
There have been 14 reports of issues with these candles causing a higher than expected flame. Of those reports, 3 were for property damage and 2 for minor injuries.
