One of the great things about living in Minnesota is the change of seasons and the fact that even in those 4 seasons we generally get some change ups in weather during that time too.  Like in the summer months, you may have some hot and humid days, but then you'll have some really nice perfectly comfortable days, some rain, some sunny days, you know, the whole thing.

This year, that did not happen.  It's basically been hot and humid the entire summer, except for the last week or so.  Big change.  We need the rain, but do we need it all at once?

Get ready for more of this coming this winter- only opposite.  The Farmer's Almanac predicts that we are going to have a cold and snowy winter.  If you are someone who likes all the Winter activities that Minnesota has to offer- you are in luck!  Looks like snowmobiling, skiing, ice fishing, snow boarding, you name it- you're probably going to be able to do that this winter.

Personally, I like the change ups.  Let's have some of the cold and snow so that people who like that can enjoy, but also some of the more mild temps so that people like me don't have to become some sort of hermit.

Officially this is what the Farmer's Almanac has to say:

This is not the best news if you are a so-so winter person.  When I was a kid i LOVED the snow.  Now that I'm an adult and have to drive in the winter, I'm not all about it.  This is where the hermit part comes in.  The shoveling, driving, sliding, etc is for the birds.  But it's all part of living in the upper Midwest, right?
