Country power trio Rascal Flatts made an appearance this morning on NBC’s ‘Today’ show as part of a superstar lineup leading up to Thanksgiving. The show was the first in this week’s Toyota Concert Series on the plaza at Rockefeller Center.

Speaking with ‘Today’ show host Matt Lauer, the guys — who have had 13 No.1 singles in their career together — talked about their new record, ‘Nothing Like This,’ their new record label and their super hectic tour schedule.

“It’s a new season in Rascal Flatts’ career and everything is going fantastic,” said frontman Gary LeVox. The band just finished one tour and are slated for another jam-packed set of dates following the holidays, but guitarist Joe Don Rooney said the schedule doesn’t feel overwhelming to them.

“Really, we love it,” he said. “We love being on the road and we love being home, so it’s a good balance of being with our family and it’s a good balance of being with our ‘fanily,’ as we call them on the road. So we have a great life and we’re blessed.”

Performing their smash hit ‘Easy’ with guest Natasha Bedingfield, Rascal Flatts delivered a soulful performance that had everyone in the audience singing along. The band also performed their singles ‘Why Wait’ and ‘Life Is a Highway’ to an energetic crowd.

Other artists set to play the Toyota Concert Series this week are Carole King and Justin Bieber. Catch the ‘Today’ show on NBC beginning weekdays at 7AM ET.
